I am a bioinformatics analyst working in the bioinformatics core at the National Institute of Neurological Disorders and Stroke (NINDS) part of National Institutes of Health (NIH). I analyze next-generation sequencing data for a wide variety of neurological diseases.
I completed my PhD in the Ortà lab at George Washington University. My dissertation focuses on understanding the convergent evolution of craniofacial appendages of African freshwater electric fishes. Specifically, I have tackled this by implementing bioinformatic pipelines, phylogenomics, histology, and genomic methodologies.
